BACI 2007 - An Inspiration Event ! BACI...Balloon Artist Convention Italy, has proven to once again be a leader in providing a one of the BEST ‘Balloon Art’ Conventions in the world, this year saw an amazing array of competitions with the standard being commented as ‘the highest level we have seen at one convention’ all the competitors pulled out the stops to really bring an inspirational collection of Balloon Sculptures to amaze and impress, not only the BACI Participants but also the general public.Unlike most balloon events BACI places the sculpture competition in a venue that is open to the public to view. BACI takes place in the Fortezza which also hosts the Artisan Fair with many crafts and art work exhibited, this fair attracts 1000's of visitors, which is fantastic for the Balloon Industry as it gives huge exposure in Italy, not only to those who attend the Artisan Fair but through all the media coverage ‘Balloon Express’ works hard to generate each year. There are many different types of competitions that can be entered at BACI for delegates you have The Large Sculpture, The Best Dressed Table/Table Centre and the 12 minute Balloon Figure, but this event is unique as it really is the only event herd of to have all of the Instructors also showcase a sculpture in the Master Competition! For 2007 there were many entries in all of these categories, with the level exceeding expectations of what can be achieved with balloons, with the Gala night honouring the awards to the deserving pieces and in true Jack and Roberta style, showing overwhelming generosity and appreciation for there Teachers, Staff, Balloon Express Shops and BACI as a whole!
