Balloon Biography
I was introduced to balloon decorating in 1998 when I began working for a flower shop.
I enjoyed the industry and art of decorating so much I started my own balloon business in 2002 called "Daisy Balloon." I found by combining the
art of decorating and twisting the possibilities were endless.
Since then my business has expanded and in 2004 I began competing in competitions.

Balloon Biography
I started doing gift baskets
about 15 years ago as something for friends and family. Then it took on a life
of its own. I started home based, working kiosks in the local mall for
Valentines and Mothers Day. Then the opportunity presented itself to open an
in-line store. It was a lot of work and long hours. But it was a lot of good
experience. I now am home based again and life is a little easier. I have
recently started to concentrate my business to solely corporate and business
gifts. Which has given me the chance to expand the balloon side of my business.
Another story.
What I love about doing the gift baskets is the creativity it offers and
seeing the amazement and joy on the recipient’s face when I deliver one of my
over-the-top gift basket gifts. Like balloons people are always happy to see
you. And I love making some ones day!

Balloon Biography
Contrary to popular opinion, Stretch isn't his
real name and it originally had nothing to do with balloons. Wendell
Clendennen picked up the nickname "Stretch" while working in a
Children's Church with another guy who went by "Runt." Ten years
later in 1989 he started twisting tubes of latex into crazy shapes as
"Stretch the Clown" for another Children's Church he was working in.
The theme was circus and Stretch decided to be a clown. Since
balloon animals are associated with clowns he decided to learn to make them.
After discovering that the prices for balloon school were inflated, he
bought a book to learn the basics and then proceeded to teach himself after
that. Nine years "Stretch the Clown" was born, he dropped the
make-up and began specializing in balloon art as "Stretch the Balloon
Dude." With a slightly twisted view of balloons and life in general,
his creations take ordinary balloon art and make it extraordinary. His
style is a mixture of wild imagination and close attention to detail.
Many of Stretch’s balloon characters are zany and unorthodox creations
using a mixture of balloon shapes and sizes, while his animals incorporate
various shapes and sizes of balloons to emphasize details and features of their
real-life counterparts.
Stretch has been twisting in restaurants since 1995, along with numerous
birthday parties, corporate events, church functions, school events, festivals
and more. He twisted for the Tyler Wildcatters minor league baseball team
for 3 years while living in East Texas, and became the balloon artist for the
Dallas Mavericks basketball team in 2002 shortly after moving to the Dallas
area. His list of clients includes The Dallas Mavericks basketball team,
The Dallas Stars hockey team, The Dallas Cowboys football team, The Gaylord
Texan, Bank of Texas, American Airlines Center, Motorola, Sprint and The City
of Dallas just to name a few.
In 2005 Stretch also started performing as Santa Claus during the Holiday
season at the request of one of the agents that regularly books him. He
wore a theatrical beard and had 3 bookings that first season. While the
theatrical beard was good enough to fool most of his clients, the second year
Stretch decided to grow out his beard and die it and his hair white. The
second season saw an increase to 17 bookings that included some repeats from
the first year, and the third season promises to be even better. While
many of Stretch's clients question him about being Santa when ballooning
throughout the year, he doesn't twist balloons while performing as Santa.
